Shop Cart Canvas (“the App”) provides cart page customization and upsell functionality (“the Service”) to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. When you install the App, we are automatically able to access certain types of information from your Shopify account:
- Store information: Store name, store domain, store email, and Shopify shop ID
- API access scopes: Permissions required to operate the app block functionality on the storefront and within the Shopify admin
- Theme and storefront data: Required for rendering and managing app blocks on the cart page (e.g., theme ID)
We do not collect or process any customer (shopper) data or frontend activity.
How Do We Use Your Personal Information?
We use the personal information we collect from you in order to provide the Service and operate the App. Specifically, we use this information to:
- Authenticate the app installation and functionality
- Enable cart page customization blocks via the Shopify theme editor
- Provide merchant support
- Improve app performance and fix bugs
